A relationship with God is the foundational element of success for blogs to me. For my blog its a element of my Faith that helps me to continue past those times when its much easier to do nothing. For blogs to be successful, you must has a belief that what you are saying is relevant to the conversation and needs to heard, read, and hopefully one day quoted.
For Blogs to be Successful: Congruence
Without getting into the depths of self congruency theory, I hold for blogs success you have to be true to who you are consistently. You stay on a consistent message, and it will be for better for blogs success than to vacillate on issues. The idea of congruence supports that notion for blogs niche success. When you blog for niches, you build up authority and a position in a segment with topical consistency and subject matter density.
Pat Flynn, of Smart Passive Income, has a great example of congruence for blogs with his niche duel site. From scratch he built a site based upon the security industry. Its focused and niched oriented which is perfect for his blogs success. This niche site is one that has consistently generated income and quality traffic based upon his authority built up for his blogs’ success.
For Blogs to be Successful: Mentorship
A third element for blogs success is mentorship. It is truly a motivator to observing the success of others to help you believe you can achieve. I’ve writing for blogs online for 6 years now. First I worked with “Associated Content” and now with “Yahoo Voices“. However I was not truly inspired to for blogs success until I saw others succeed in blog space. Its is essential for blogs success to have an vision and plan for success. Inclusive in that vision for blogs success is walking the path others have laid to make your process easier.
Christy Scivique said it best “A good mentor is wise and willing to share his or her knowledge and experiences in order to help you succeed.”
You can have informal and formal mentorship. Someone like Patt Flynn of Smart Passive income is a keen expert in the making money online. In formally, I look to his work which inspires me to continue in the space with a renewed enthusiasm daily. However, I have had direct relationships with mentor whom have show me direct areas in my life where I need improvement. This accountability to mentors helps a blog keep authentic with a purpose and vision. This level of accountability is imperative for blogs success. As Christy mention, a mentors wants you to succeed. So press on and find someone willing to with you for blogs success and you will certainly do well.
