Vision For Blogs
Vision For Blogs: For blogs, it is imperative to have vision. It is pointless to blog otherwise. You have to add something to the blogosphere. It pays to be original with content and consistent with helping others. It is best to stay positive and keep a growth perspective in your efforts. Habakkuk 2:2 speaks to “Write the vision and make it plain.” We must write but also must adapt the vision as we grow wiser and stronger.
John Maxwell has a great book “The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth: Live Them and Reach Your Potential” You can click on that link to purchase it or do research and find out more about it. John Maxwell continues to help me daily as I work to achieve my goals while remaining rooted and grounded in service. Dr. Maxwell’s books and philosophy helped me to harness the vision and bring it to fruition.
Mentorship For Blogs : I had a dream about Steve Harvey’s Dreamers Academy. I was there and helping him. Strangely enough I was there talking to him about it. This dream was one where Steve Harvey had the high top fade, not the bald, bold brother we see today. We were saying “man I wish you could have been there”. I was thinking too, “man, I wish I could have been there too”. In context, I was dreaming I was there and not appreciation of the fact that I was there. The mind conceived it and I could not believe it.
Fact in my favor for mentorship:
- I know Mr. Harvey’s PR person and they have asked me to reach out to them
- I have a youth in my mentoring program that was in the academy and is to this day close to Mr. Harvey
- I did a mentorship presentation at a conference about my program in front of one of Mr. Harvey’s close friends, whom helps with the academy
- I have a passionate desire to help the academy
- Clearly I can see myself there helping
As I mentor youth in my church, my fraternity, and mentoring program, I hope to inspire belief. Faith without works is dead. That work is belief. God can accomplish all things with and in those who believe.
As a mentee myself, I ask my mentor for guidance regularly. I read God’s word for inspirations. I read books for elders wisdom. I write to make the magic happen everyday.
I was looking at the Berlin Wall. It is a spectacle to see this historic image. In the bottom right corner, I see a 5. Better stated a V. I walked around the building that hadn’t really thought much about the number. But my subconscious never let it go.
I started to think of my goals in terms of V. I started to think of my ambitions in terms of V. I started to think of the V things I needed to do today to feel successful. I started to think of the next V minutes what I needed to do. I looked down and I had to tie my shoe. At that moment, I noticed right in front of me was a message.
I kneeled down in a spot where there was a gathering of rocks. The curator of the facility informed me that these were rocks the Native American Chiefs would sit upon in gatherings. I looked at them in passing and thought nothing more about it. Then at this moment when I attempted to tie my shoe, I discovered it. As I looked straight in front of me, it was there. It was a V. I had it on my mind. I continued to think about it. It’s significant to me in so many ways. How many people, how many times, how many ways could I have passed this point by. But today I didn’t. I saw the V. It brought me to a place of peace in my goals. A peace that surpasses all understanding.
Faith For Blogs:
Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). The number V carved out in stone that has lasted for years helped inspire me. I have a lot going on at the same time. Many things racing through my head at the same time. It can be a bit much at times. I hold that life takes you by surprise. But it’s up to us to slow down and meditate for a moment. It puts us in the right place to get the right perspective.
I came to my knees to tie my shoe. I saw the V and felt peace. So I thanked God for that moment of clarity and help to restore my faith. For in my mind, it was ordained that I see that right at the appointed time and season. It was the sign that cried out from the rocks to confirm the direction in which I should go.
Love For Blogs:
I love blogging. Its a challenge at times. But it’s my version of Love. It’s how I approach things when I look at the scripture:
Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on to these two commandments.”
I hope all whom read this have an awesome day. Have a blessed day, today and for the remainder of the year.
Now unto him who is able to protect and do all things above and beyond imagination, I thank you for allowing us to start appropriately with thanks a brand new day.
